Alanis Morissette

Alanis Nadine was born 1 June 1974. Her birthplace was Ottawa, Canada. Alanis' Greek is a male version of the surname Alan's father had. Her mother's name is Georgia and she has two brothers: Chad and Wade (Alanis"Twin). She first started playing piano and guitar when she was just 21. Alanis released a single in 1986 that was titled Fate Stay with My (b Side: Find The Right Man). She recorded two albums as dance-pop vocalists throughout Canada: Alanis (1991) and This Is The Time (1992). She relocated to Toronto in the year 18 and began working with writers and musicians, however these collaborations did not work. Then, in 1994, she was able to find the right collaborator: the producer and songwriter Glen Ballard, who had been working with numerous musicians, such as Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson and Barbra Streisand. Following her move to LA, she turned 19 in the year 1994. Madonna's Maverick Records released the song "Jagged Little Pill", on June 13th, 1995. Alanis' songs are autobiographical. JLP has sold more than 30 million copies in the world and is the most-sold female album. This is also the third most-loved album in history. JLP was released after enduring an emotional crisis (she thought about not recording an album), and taking a trip abroad. Alanis Alanis Alanis
